Newsfeed Searching

The search tool I liked the best was Technorati, then Feedster. I found the Topix and Syndic8 a bit confusing. The feeds I found were not really unusual. I subscribed to a couple of news feeds, including the Vindicator, a stock feed, a recipe feed, a fashion feed and Unshelved (library humor), etc. I found some of my feeds by viewing a website and then deciding to subscibe to it at that point once I noticed the RSS symbol.

RSS comments

I think this is a very efficient way of quickly obtaining access to news and information that is important to an individual on a daily basis. I don't know that I would have a need to use it because I probably wouldn't make or take time to view the newsfeeds on a regular basis. The library could subscribe to some very popular newsfeeds for patrons to view on our website, like CNN for example.
